Distribution Resources, Inc. (DRI)
DRI was established in 1989 to address a void in the Seattle area's warehousing industry for a distribution/fulfillment company experienced in handling apparel. The company was founded by Paul Prusi who then enlisted the expertise of long time associate David VanderSluis. Both individuals had 15 years of management experience in the operations and distribution processes of local sportswear wholesalers and retailers.
Working with startup companies such as Cutter & Buck and with established firms of the likes of Topline Corporation (fashion footwear) and Chevignon, DRI began establishing it's reputation for timely and accurate order fulfillment. As the business environment changed, so did DRI. With the increased emphasis by the retailers for "floor ready" merchandise came the requirement for increased demands on value added services provided at the distribution level. DRI provides services in this area that include application and printing of price tickets/stickers, adding hangers to garments, prepacking/bundle reconfiguration as just a few examples. DRI also became well versed in the EDI requirements and processes and provides either a stand alone system or can work with a client's own integrated system.
DRI has provided service for a wide range of importers/manufacturers. Products have included hospital supplies and exam tables, inflatable boats, pasta and apparel. The quality and timeliness of the job performance has been key to DRI's continued success.
